Flora
Foliage, blooms and little creatures abound in this collection. Ivy, laurel, achillea, daisies, forget-me-nots, many delightful floral subjects compose the designs. Leaves and intertwining stems in 18K yellow gold contrast with blackened gold and oxidized silver details, which evoke the patina of age and wear. Tsavorite garnets, pink sapphires, white, champagne and black diamonds all evoke varying light reflections. It is as much a play on past and present as it is on light and shade, each rendition being an attempt to capture the fleeting nature of the passing of time through nature-inspired keepsakes. The laurel-leaf wreath headdresses could well be found on the painted walls of Pompeii, while stackable rings, dainty studs and flamboyant long earrings each celebrate the formidable vivacity of the plant realm. “Nature is the inimitable, ultimate masterpiece of all time that inspires every creative being in many ways. Personally I am a very devoted watcher and admirer of this sublime reference,” Aida shares.
